Small wildfire classified as “under control” near Port McNeill

A small wildfire discovered near Port McNeill on Sunday has been classified as “under control” by B.C. Wildfire Service. The fire is 0.1 hectares, located 5 km up Cabin Main. It is not projected to spread beyond the current perimeter. B.C. Wildfire Service’s info page on the fire says that it was likely human-caused, which includes fires that are set either by accident or intentionally.
