‘Mayday, mayday’: Pilot reported problems before plane with 6 aboard crashed off San Diego coast
SAN DIEGO — A search continued Monday for a small plane carrying six people that plunged into the ocean off Sunset Cliffs on Sunday shortly after the pilot reported that he was struggling to control the aircraft.
Only in May a Cessna in San Diego had fallen into a residential area, several people died. Now there was another crash near the coast guard looking for survivors.
The twin-engine Cessna 414 crashed into the sea west of San Diego at noon on Sunday.
