Ambassadors of the European Union member states disagreed on Wednesday on a proposal to extend sanctions imposed on Russian citizens by 12 months. Slovakia was against it. Citing diplomatic sources, the Brussels-based Politico website reported on Friday. According to the information, Bratislava wants to continue extending the sanctions every six months, and not just once a year. Slovakia also requests the removal of two names from the list.
