Poland has won its first silver medal at this year's Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. It was won by ski jumper Kacper Tomasiak, a native of Bielsko-Biała. "We have a medal! Kacper Tomasiak – bravo!" wrote President Karol Nawrocki, reacting to the Polish ski jumper's silver medal at the Olympics. "A beautiful Olympic debut for Kacper Tomasiak! We'll probably hear more about him. Congratulations," remarked PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński. Prime Minister Donald Tusk also offered his congratulations. "I told you so! Bravo, Kacper!"
