At around 9:50 a.m. on the 10th, an employee at the Daio Paper Kani Factory in Tsuchida, Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, called 119, reporting that "two men have inhaled some kind of gas. They are complaining of difficulty breathing." According to the prefectural police, six male workers in their 20s to 60s who were inside the factory were injured. The local fire department is investigating.
