Biotech firm MiAlgae has submitted plans for a new production site in Grangemouth as it ramps up efforts to scale its sustainable Omega-3 alternative. The site, set to create 100 green jobs, will turn whisky by-products into microalgae — a plant-based substitute for fish oil used in aquaculture and pet food.
