Silver Dollar City Unveils Miner’s Mountain Express Family Coaster for 2027
The ride features more than a half mile of track and 15 airtime moments as part of a $150 million expansion.
On Friday, Silver Dollar City announced Miner's Mountain Express, a new family roller coaster opening in spring 2027 that will be the longest family coaster in the Midwest.
Silver Dollar City Company President Brad Thomas said the project is part of a $150 million investment as the park celebrates 66 years in business and retires the Thunderation coaster.
An authentic 15-story headframe from a Missouri mine anchors the new Daredevil Pass area, where the coaster spans more than 3,500 feet of track with 15 airtime moments, the most on any ride at the park.
Designed with MACK Rides of Waldkirch, Germany, the attraction features legendary mining foreman Jedidiah 'Jed' Campbell and invites guests to search for a lost entrance to Marvel Cave, a United States Registered Natural Landmark.
In 2027 and beyond, the coaster and the upcoming Silver Dollar City Resort will expand the park as a multi-day destination, inviting guests from every state to discover the Ozarks.
