- Legal documents filed Monday confirmed 50-year-old singer Sia agreed to pay ex-husband Dan Bernad $42,500 monthly in child support for their 2-year-old son, Somersault, with payments beginning April 1.
- Last October, Bernad, an oncologist, demanded full custody, alleging in filings that Sia was an "unfit and unreliable parent struggling with substance abuse and addiction."
- Sia responded to the claims by telling the court that while she suffered from substance abuse 15 years ago, recovery has been a "cornerstone" of her life ever since.
- Addressing the settlement on Tuesday, April 7, the singer posted on X that she is a "sober working mom trying to buy peace," while separately sharing: "Good dads get jobs."
- Until Somersault turns 18 in March 2042, Sia will continue these monthly payments and remains responsible for covering his private school fees, health insurance, and extracurricular costs.
