On Monday, Oct. 27, at approximately 11 a.m., Shelby County Sheriff’s Office personnel, DPS troopers, one game warden, and constables for Pcts. 1, 2, and 5 hastily responded to a call received from an individual stating that he believed he had shot his mother-in-law’s partner, Donald Ray Land, 61, following alleged assaults by Land.
