MEBANE, N.C. (WGHP) -- Mebane officers are investigating a shooting that happened on Friday night, according to a Mebane Police Department news release. Around 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Bateman Place and secured the scene. Investigators believe that the victim and the suspect knew each other and say the shooting was an isolated incident. There is no ongoing threat to the public. This is a developing story.
