- On Saturday night, a shooting at Lincoln University in Oxford, Pennsylvania killed one person and injured six during the school's Homecoming weekend, Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said.
- Lincoln University, the nation's first degree-granting Historically Black College and University, sits about 55 miles west of Philadelphia and 45 miles southwest of the city.
- Several people were treated at the scene after being knocked down and trampled while fleeing, as Pennsylvania State Police described the situation as very active; at least three victims were taken to Christiana Hospital and another to ChristianaCare.
- Law enforcement agencies said local, state and federal authorities are investigating the shooting, officials have not identified a suspect and the Chester County District Attorney's office urged anyone with information to contact the FBI.
- Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said he offered full administration support, while Chester County Commissioner Eric Roe urged prayers and Lincoln University counselling services opened Sunday morning.
