Murder Case Paused in Death of Escondido 'Trump House' Owner

Judge Richard Monroy suspended the case until a psychiatrist evaluates Thomas Caleb Butler, who faces murder charges and up to 28 years to life if convicted.

Criminal proceedings have been suspended in the fatal attack on the owner of the so-called “Trump House” in Escondido while authorities determine the defendant’s mental state.
