Sheriff’s budget request approaches $4 million

The Cherokee County Sheriff Brian Henderson has requested an increase in his 2026 budget of just under three quarters of a million dollars. The budget request of nearly $4-million included an increase of $302,072 in salaries which Sheriff Henderson says would include a five percent raise for all employees and an increase of $10,000 for all staff members above the rank of captain.
