- Heightened regional tensions linked to the U.S.-Israel war with Iran, which began February 28, prompted the cancellations. Countries including Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain have faced retaliatory missile or drone strikes.
- The U.S. Department of State issued a worldwide caution advisory on March 22, warning of potential airspace closures affecting international travel. The OFFLIMITS festival was rescheduled for November 21 at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
- Other live events, including performances by Hans Zimmer on April 10 and John Legend on April 17, remain unchanged. Shakira's representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
- Shakira, 49, was recently named among 17 nominees for the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class. The Colombian singer, who holds 15 Latin Grammy Awards and 41 Billboard Latin Music Awards, would become the first South American solo artist if selected.
