Miao Miao, a 32-year-old woman from Yongshou County, Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, suffered long-term domestic violence from her husband, Zhang, during their nine-year marriage. In 2024, she filed for divorce in the local court, but the case was rejected. Just 13 days later, her husband beat her unconscious and threw her off a cliff, causing her death. The case was heard today (May 26) in the Yongshou County Court.
