- On Tuesday, female migrants in Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta reported sexual harassment and assault while sleeping rough outside a government reception center near El Trampolin, which exceeds its capacity by 200 people.
- Between 5,000 and 8,000 migrants remain in Ceuta more than two weeks after 72,000 people crossed from Morocco in a deadly border surge. Police and social services are scrambling to expand limited reception facilities.
- Spain's largest police union, SUP, reported 15 sexual assaults since July 30, the significant majority involving underage victims. Migrant Dikra Tetouan said, "We try to protect ourselves by screaming so that people gather around us."
- Migration and Social Security Minister Elma Saiz said authorities are distributing 4,000 daily meals and setting up temporary centers with 1,500 additional places. Health Minister Monica Garcia confirmed medical services treated five women for sexual violence.
- Human rights groups including Amnesty International and the PorCausa Foundation warn of extreme vulnerability in overcrowded spaces. Director-general Lucila Rodriguez-Alarcon stated, "When large volumes of displaced persons are together in overcrowded spaces, these situations of sexual violence arise.
