Beaten - and left it for dead: Technician convicted of abusing cat

A boiler repairman beat a cat who climbed the fence using a Swedish key - and left it to scrape to death. The court convicted him and did not accept his version that he tried to help the cat break free from the fence

The severely abused cat that was found last week in a barn in Waalwijk has died. The animal had been operated on by the vet on Friday and had been on a drip at the animal shelter since then.
