Waterloo Badly Damaged by Storm; Weather Service Says Tornado May Have Hit Village
Thousands lost power and multiple counties faced tornado warnings as storms brought damaging winds, hail and flash-flooding risks, forecasters said.

- New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Director of the Office of Emergency Management Pete Cichetti warned of urban flooding, stating, "We expect definitely urban flooding. Ponding and flooding in low-lying areas."
- Following the midweek storms, conditions are expected to improve through Friday with the region trending dry and cooler for Saturday and Sunday as high pressure settles over the northeast for the holiday weekend.
