On the 5th, Seibu announced that they would begin the posting system process for pitcher Mitsunari Takahashi (28), who is aiming to transfer to the US Major Leagues. Regarding the reason for allowing him to use the system, Seibu's General Manager Koji Hiroike said, "Based on his desire to make the move, which he had previously expressed, this year was the right time for him to take on the challenge."
