Eight Terrorists Killed in Balochistan Operations: ISPR
Security forces also seized weapons and ammunition as counterterrorism operations continue under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign, officials said.
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Pakistani security forces killed 8 terrorists during three intelligence-based operations in Quetta, Nushki, and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan.
Authorities targeted militants belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan, which Pakistan's government designated last year as an Indian proxy accused of sponsoring a proxy war in the province.
During the raids, security forces recovered 490 kilograms of explosives and seized advanced weapons and ammunition, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations .
Military officials stated that counter-terrorism operations will continue at full pace under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision to eliminate foreign-sponsored threats across the country.
This crackdown follows a 13% rise in militant attacks nationwide during September, as Pakistan faces ongoing security challenges along the Afghan border.
