Second man identified in fatal Amtrak crash in Bessemer

BESSEMER, Ala. — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has now identified both men killed Tuesday evening after their vehicle collided with an Amtrak train at a railroad crossing in Bessemer. 69-year-old Robert Earl Scott, of Hueytown, was driving the vehicle. 78-year-old Royal Hatten Jr., of Bessemer, was the passenger.
