On the second anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, Federal Chancellor Merz denounced a "new wave of anti-Semitism" and assured the Jews in Germany that everything was being done to protect them.
"We will do everything we can to ensure that Jews can live here in Germany without fear," said the German Chancellor.
Hamas' attacks two years ago left deep traces in Germany as well. Former Federal Minister of Justice Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger urges for more differentiation when considering the conflict in the Middle East.
