Airbus inaugurated its new A320 Family Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Tianjin, northern China, on 22 October. It is the second assembly line for this type of aircraft in China and in Asia. The new manufacturing facility will double the A320 final assembly capacity in China, underscoring Airbus’ confidence in the growth potential of the Chinese civil aviation sector, the resilience of the supply chain and the favourable business climate.
China's Trade Minister Wang Wentao has agreed to help Airbus Chief Guillaume Faury secure stable supply chains. At a meeting, according to the Chinese Department of Commerce, Wang pointed to the commissioning of a second final assembly line in Tianjin as an opportunity for enhanced cooperation between Airbus and China.
