Klaus Schwab steps down as World Economic Forum chairman after 55 years, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe named interim chair

Klaus Schwab stepped down as World Economic Forum (WEF) chairman after 55 years of service in an institution which he created in 1971. The trustees have decided to appoint Peter Brabeck-Letmathe as the interim chairman till a selection committee selects a new Chairman.

For 54 years Klaus Schwab was at the head of the Economic Forum. Most recently the criticism increased. Now the founder makes room for his successor. This temporarily takes over deputy Peter Brabeck-Letmathe.
