Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Release Date Moved to March 8, 2028
Federal records now list a March 2028 release after reports alleged Combs received special privileges and paid inmates for chores behind bars.
- Bureau of Prisons records show Sean 'Diddy' Combs' release date moved to March 8, 2028 on Thursday. The 56-year-old rapper is serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
- NBC News alleged Combs paid thousands of dollars monthly for contraband including alcohol and cellphones. The report claimed he maintained a 'pampered lifestyle' while incarcerated at the low-security facility.
- Following the report, prison officials moved Combs to the Special Housing Unit, commonly known as solitary confinement. This transfer is typical procedure when authorities investigate inmate conduct.
- A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson refused to comment on specific release date changes, citing 'privacy, safety and security reasons.' The agency noted contraband remains a 'constant challenge' at correctional facilities.
- Representatives for Combs downplayed the reports, stating 'The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the court's decision on his appeal.' He remains focused on his legal case.
