Spolana has started laying off five hundred people

Only a handful of workers will remain at the originally large chemical factory Spolana Neratovice in the Mělník region. At the end of last year, Spolana employed approximately 650 people. At the beginning of this millennium, it was even roughly double that number. However, by the end of this September, only around 150 workers are expected to remain here.
