Scientists recreated sounds that were scattered across the forests and fields of the Earth 165 million years ago. This was done thanks to fossilized insect wings -- they were well preserved in fossil form, unlike the vocal bundles of dinosaurs.
Study suggests that some kind of insect already produced ultrasound long before the bats appeared.
