Two days after President Claudia Sheinbaum announced the appointment of ex-prosecutor Alejandro Gertz Manero as Mexico’s new ambassador to the United Kingdom, former legal adviser to the Presidency, Julio Scherer Ibarra, sued the former FGR holder with a complaint “for moral damage” filed and received at the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City on January 9.
