Scammers send man to home of Mayfield Heights woman to collect $9,000 cash

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Police learned June 10 that a Cantwell Drive resident was the victim of a scam after receiving a phone call from somebody claiming to be her grandson and suggesting that he was in jail because he was involved in a crash with a pregnant woman.The supposed grandson told her that he needed bond money.
