- On Friday, the Parthenon at Acropolis Hill is completely free of scaffolding for the first time in at least 200 years, offering visitors a rare unobstructed view.
- The long restoration campaign that began about 20 years ago required scaffolding on the temple's western face, following two decades of work to protect it from wear, fires and earthquakes.

- Acropolis, Athens drew 4.5 million visitors in 2024, making it Greece's top tourist site, while renewed conservation of the marble Parthenon, mid 5th century B.C., continues until early summer in 2026.
