The Standard opened the score at Dender, before he was promoted to equalize at the end of the first period. Matthieu Epolo saved the Rouches after the break, but Matricle 16 could still have won if Nathan Ngoy hadn't found the pole at the end of the game.

FCV Dender had never been able to beat Standard and the Rouches kept up that tradition without really impressing. The “Oscar” of the match went to the Liège goalkeeper Epolo who kept the Cadavers from victory, although Ngoy flirted with the winning goal in the final phase that ended up on the post.
