PORT ELGIN’S MacKAY WINS FINALS MVP Ian MacKay won the National Lacrosse League’s Finals MVP Award after helping his Buffalo Bandits to a third-straight league title. MacKay, who grew up playing lacrosse in the Owen Sound North Stars system, scored seven goals and added five assists in the three-game finals series against the Saskatchewan Rush. He scored 24 points in the playoffs, including a team-high 16 goals.
