Due to the efforts made through the model of the "4T Norteña", which implements public policies that have made Escobedo a national example; Mayor Andrés Mijes Llovera, was recognized in Mexico City with the award for Best Local Government Practices. The organization Mayors of Mexico gave the distinction to Andrés Mijes, highlighting the work that has positioned the municipality as a reference in innovation, efficiency and modern governance.
