'Do Not Consume or Use': Sainsbury's Recalls 5 Home and Food Products
LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND, JUL 29 – Five Sainsbury's products recalled due to fire hazards, glass fragments, and elevated chlorate levels, with customers urged to return affected items for full refunds.
In recent weeks, Sainsbury's has activated five product recalls, including warnings about a potential fire risk, and advised customers to return affected items.
Suppliers flagged overheating in Nutribullet Go blender, glass in Newcastle Brown Ale 550ml, and chlorate concerns in Appletiser multipacks, prompting recalls.
Customers are advised to locate the serial number on Tower-branded air fryers, as Tower stated: 'We take the quality and safety of our products extremely seriously'.
Sainsbury's is advising customers to return recalled items for a full refund, and Tower said: 'We take the quality and safety of our products extremely seriously and would like to apologise to customers affected for any inconvenience this may cause'.
Alongside these recalls, the Office for Product Safety and Standards , the Food Standards Agency , and Chartered Trading Standards Institute oversee safety recalls at major retailers.
