- Investigations traced routes via Ramon Airport and Nairobi, with passengers paying roughly $2,000 or $1,000–$1,500 to Al-Majd Europe, linked to Tomer Yanar Lind.
- DHA will process asylum applications from the travellers and granted about 130 90-day visas, while most arrivals were placed under the care of the NGO Gift of the Givers.
- Amid signs of a larger scheme, investigators warned the flights were not one-offs, with the Department of Home Affairs revealing a Dubai-based broker with offices in South Africa requested bulk charters; officials said South Africa `will not be complicit` and will reject further abuse.
