The Protection of the Constitution may continue to monitor the AfD as a suspected extremist case. Politicians must now focus on those who are already suffering as a result of the party's actions.
According to the Münster Higher Administrative Court, the Protection of the Constitution rightly suspects that the AfD is far-right. The party as a whole is therefore likely to be upgraded to a suspected case soon. However, this success of defensive democracy in court should not reassure anyone.
