KIGALI, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Rwanda and the European Union on Tuesday signed a financing agreement for 40 million euros (about 67 billion Rwandan francs) to support Rwanda's efforts to transform the agriculture sector into a modern, inclusive, and climate-resilient sector.

Reports: The Government of Rwanda and the European Union (EU) have signed a €40 million grant agreement that will help Rwanda develop sustainable, resilient and climate-friendly agriculture. This grant will be used specifically for programs to increase investment in agriculture, expand irrigation, manage land and protect the environment in order to increase production.
