MOSCOW/KYIV, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Russia and Ukraine said on Wednesday they had completed another large prisoner exchange despite the crash last week of a Russian military transport plane that Moscow says was shot down by Ukraine carrying Ukrainian PoWs en route to a similar swap.
A plane carrying Russian servicemen released from Ukrainian captivity landed in the Moscow region, reports the TV channel “Zvezda”. “A plane carrying 195 Russian servicemen landed at an airport near Moscow. All of them were returned to Russia from Ukrainian captivity, where they were in mortal danger,” the report said.
