Occupation official says Russian plane accidentally dropped bomb on town in ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’
Leonid Pasechnik, the Moscow-backed head of the self-proclaimed “Luhansk People’s Republic,” said Monday that a Russian plane accidentally dropped an aerial bomb on the town of Rubizhne. According to Pasechnik, the “unplanned discharge” of a FAB-250 occurred while a Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft was performing a combat mission. This is the second incident of its kind in less than a week. Last week, Russian forces hit a village along the border during an air strike against Ukraine.
