In the Russian-occupied Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine, a Russian warplane accidentally dropped a bomb on the city of Rubyzhne, the head of the Moscow-appointed regional government Leonid Pasechnik said.

Occupation official says Russian plane accidentally dropped bomb on town in ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’

Leonid Pasechnik, the Moscow-backed head of the self-proclaimed “Luhansk People’s Republic,” said Monday that a Russian plane accidentally dropped an aerial bomb on the town of Rubizhne. According to Pasechnik, the “unplanned discharge” of a FAB-250 occurred while a Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft was performing a combat mission. The occupation official said that nobody was injured and that residents of the area were evacuated from their homes…

This is the second incident of its kind in less than a week. Last week, Russian forces hit a village along the border during an air strike against Ukraine.
