UN: Russian media spread statements that could lead to genocide against Ukraine
Certain statements that Russian and other media spread may be an impetus for genocide in Ukraine. That's what the head of the Investigative Committee for Ukraine said before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Monday. The researchers are concerned about this and are further investigating the allegations.
Russian media rhetoric could be 'incitement to genocide': UN probe
UN investigators probing violations in Ukraine since Russia's invasion warned on Monday that some rhetoric transmitted by Russian media could amount to incitement to genocide. "For instance, some of the rhetoric transmitted in Russian state and other media may constitute incitement to genocide," he said, adding that the team was "continuing its investigations on such issues".
