Russia attacked Kiev and Kharkiv, Ukraine's two largest cities, early Saturday morning, killing one person and wounding at least 15. More than a million people were left without electricity.
On the night of January 24, the enemy launched a massive strike on the energy infrastructure of the country, as a result of which consumers in Kiev and in Kyiv, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions were de-energized. Emergency recovery work continues.
The senior UN official in the country condemns the massive attack with nearly 400 drones and missiles carried out by Russia during the night against several Ukrainian cities. At temperatures of -20 °C, the attacks have left many families without electricity, heating and water.
