Russian Drone Hits Odesa High-Rise, Injures 4
Officials said a jet-powered Shahed drone destroyed a 12th-floor apartment, sparked a fire and injured four civilians.
- On Monday, Russian forces attacked Odesa with a drone, damaging a residential high-rise building during the afternoon strike, said Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
- The Air Force issued a warning around 3 p.m. after detecting a jet-powered Shahed drone heading toward the city; shortly afterward, local Telegram channels reported a powerful explosion.
- Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported that an apartment on the 12th floor was destroyed, with blast damage affecting the facade, windows, and balconies from the first to the 11th floors.
- Four people were injured in the strike, including a 56-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman who were hospitalized. Two women, aged 17 and 18, received medical assistance at the scene, Kiper reported.
- Persistent drone strikes also hit a university in central Kyiv as part of the broader campaign. Putin's spokesperson stated the Russian military is choosing targets "they consider appropriate.
