Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a secret visit to Sumy on Wednesday, releasing a statement in the evening. In a video shot near the city's sign, the president said that "since last August, units have been conducting combat operations on enemy territory - this is one of Ukraine's greatest achievements during this war. It is absolutely right to move the war back to where it came from."

On April 4, the Russians carried out 179 shelling of border territories and settlements in Sumy region. There were 472 explosions.

On April 3, at around 10:00 p.m., Russian troops shelled the village of Gurʼiv Kozachok in the Zolochiv community with artillery. As a result of the direct hit, the local outpatient clinic was destroyed. It is specified that no civilians were injured.
