Russia will boost ties with Iran, Kremlin says

  • Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on October 20 that `Russia is definitely ready to expand cooperation with Iran in all areas. Iran is our partner, and our relations are developing very dynamically`, adding Moscow will continue cooperation including in peaceful nuclear energy.
  • Last month, Rosatom, Russian state nuclear energy giant, signed a deal to build four nuclear plants in Iran, which has one in Bushehr, and Putin signed a partnership with Masoud Pezeshkian in January.
