A Russian government commission on legislative activity has approved a bill that would allow personnel in the Emergency Situations Ministry’s rescue military units to use force and firearms, the Russian business daily Vedomosti reported, citing sources and the text of the document.
The Government Commission has approved a bill that empowers members of the MES rescue units to use force and weapons in the performance of their duties, and it is planned to amend the Civil Defence Act and to write "Vedomes".
