Russia threatened on Thursday to take tough measures against Japan if it supplies Ukraine with weapons or other military equipment, after the government in Tokyo indicated its readiness to join the NATO command coordinating military aid to Ukraine, EFE reported, citing Agerpres.

The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman warned that if Japan decides to supply weapons to Kiev, it will face “tougher measures, which will cause significant harm to Japan's interests”.
