Justifying its decision with Russian “aggression” “against a free and independent Ukraine,” the site museum did not invite a representative of Moscow. The Nazi death camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated by the Red Army on 27 January 1945.
Russia not welcome to commemorate the liberation of Auschwitz
