Political circles clashed during the parliamentary investigation into allegations of political prosecution fabrication and indictment by the Yoon Suk-yeol administration over the Ssangbangwool remittance to North Korea case. The Democratic Party of Korea raised suspicions that Prosecutor Park Sang-yong, who was in charge of the investigation, had designed the case.
Acting Prosecutor General Koo Ja-hyun stated, "We need to examine Park's Facebook political neutrality." Justice Minister Jung Sung-ho said at the parliamentary inquiry held at the National Assembly on the 3rd regarding "allegations of fabricated indictments by the Yoon Suk-yeol administration's political prosecution," adding, "I have various thoughts about whether the prosecution has the ability to self-correct."
