Ruck earns second silver, Knox third bronze for Canada at swimming World Cup
Taylor Ruck added a silver in the 100 backstroke, and Finlay Knox earned his third bronze of the meet in the 200 individual medley.
On Friday, Taylor Ruck, a four-time Olympic medallist from Kelowna, captured silver in the women's 100-metre backstroke final in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, finishing in 56.38 seconds behind Dutch winner Marrit Steenbergen.
Canadian swimmers added to their medal hauls Friday at the second stop of the three-meet World Aquatics Swimming World Cup series, currently hosted in Tashkent.
Finlay Knox of Okotoks, Alta., took bronze in the men's 200-metre individual medley final, finishing in one minute 52.33 seconds behind Americans Shaine Casas and Carson Foster.
Ruck also secured a silver medal in the 50 freestyle on Thursday, while Knox now holds three bronze medals from the series, including finishes in the 100 butterfly and 100 individual medley.
Competition in Tashkent wraps up Saturday, with the World Cup series concluding next week in Kazakhstan; live streaming coverage airs at 9 a.m. ET via CBCSports.ca and CBC Gem.
